About Us

The Congressional Schools of Virginia, located in Falls Church, VA, offers a warm and welcoming environment for families interested in providing the best possible education for their children. Every year, we educate approximately 375 children from across Northern Virginia and from around the world. Congressional is well respected in the region and has been voted "best private school" in a survey by Washington Families Magazine.

Congressional is composed of three divisions: Early Childhood Programs, Lower School, and Middle School. Early Childhood Programs begin with the Bright Beginnings program for children 2-3 years old, then continues with Preschool for 3-year olds, Junior Kindergarten, and Senior Kindergarten. Lower School spans grades 1-4, and Middle School grades 5-8.

Congressional's Early Childhood Programs have their own school building, featuring an 1100-volume library and the Discovery Place science lab that includes a bank of 6 networked computers. Lower and Middle School students attend classes in our main building. Among its special facilities are two science labs, music studio, art studio, two fully equipped Technology Centers and an extensive library with child-safe high speed Internet access for research.

Congressional’s three schools are located on our beautiful secure 40-acre campus. Its spacious grounds are an important part of each child’s education. More than an attractive backdrop to school life, the campus serves as a naturalist’s laboratory and includes a wide range of sports fields, swimming pools, a ropes course and an amphitheater. Our students also benefit from our state-of-the-art gymnasium / auditorium, a weather station and three playgrounds with safe, age-appropriate equipment.
