Q. What does the Congressional Fund do?
A. The Congressional Fund enables the school to cover the costs of facility upgrades, program expansions and the continued improvement of services for students and families.

Q. Why can't these enhancements be done through the operating budget?
A. Other areas of the operating budget would have to be cut, or there would need to be an even greater increase in tuition in order to fund these enhancements.

Q. Doesn't tuition cover these enhancements?
A. The tuition at Congressional covers 100% of the cost of educating a child, however the tuition does not cover additional enhancements to the school's programs and facilities. These enhancements can only be undertaken as a result of additional fundraising efforts.

Q. If I can only give a small gift, does it really make an impact on Congressional?
A. Yes! Your gift, combined with those from other alumni, parents, grandparents and friends of the school provides substantial support for the enhancements to our school. Regardless of the level of the gift, it is an expression of concern and care for Congressional. Every gift counts!

Q. Why does my participation matter?
A. Participation matters because many foundations only fund schools that can demonstrate that they are widely supported by their own parent, governing board and alumni bases.

Q. How are Annual Giving funds raised?
A. The success of Annual Giving depends greatly on the assistance of volunteers who help to write letters and make phone calls on behalf of Congressional. Last year with the help of volunteers, participation in the Annual Giving fund reached an all time high.
