Classroom Outreach
Here are some examples of what individual classes have done:
Senior kindergarten made cookies and visited Mason District Police Station thanking the officers for a job well done.
Seventh graders made alphabet books for pre-schoolers at the Seven Corners Day Care Center;
A Buddy Class of grade 1 and grade 7 made activity booklets for patients' use in the waiting room at Children's Hospital Medical Clinic in Falls Church.
The preschool collected children's mittens, gloves, boots, and scarves for a shelter.
The Leadership Club in the Middle School sponsored a "Souper Bowl" to collect cans of soup for Bailey's Shelter.
Eighth graders and third graders continued to read with each other.
National Junior Honor Society members painted sets for the spring musical.
Fourth graders created posters in health class to teach preschoolers about the importance of eating fruits and vegetables.
Fifth and Sixth graders wrote letters to servicemen in Iraq. They also decorated grocery store paper bags for Earth Day.
Lower and Middle School students participated in Jump Rope for Heart.
Third Graders perform a selection of songs at Sleepy Hollow Nursing Home in May.
Seventh graders prepare meals for residents at Ronald McDonald House in Falls Church.
