Affective Curriculum
In fulfillment of our mission to create global citizens, we embrace a world-class affective curriculum to go along with our world-class academic curriculum, which provides students with instruction, modeling, and the chance to develop interpersonal skills through a broad range of activities under the watchful eyes of our caring, engaged staff.
Personality may be innate, but character is developed. Impulse control, a sense of empathy, and good decision-making skills are all necessary tools for our students, as surely as advanced math. We cannot simply assume students will acquire these skills without guidance, any more than we can assume that they will independently pick up geometry. As a faculty, we commit time and energy to teaching affective skills with the same degree of passion that we bring to our academic instruction.
