In the Community

An important component of our education is civic engagement.  By teaching each child that he or she can make a positive difference, by giving students the tools and knowledge on how to give back to the community, we help each child to develop a moral compass to guide compassion and decision making.  Children in every grade participate in a variety of hands-on community service projects.  We estimate that our students, through school sponsored events alone, contribute more than 2,000 hours each year to support those around them.

From food and supply drives and supporting those who have lost so much due to devastating disasters, to monthly meals cooked and served at an area homeless shelter and making jester-style hats for critically-ill children, our students recognize the importance of civic responsibility and the role each person in the world can play in taking action to support others.
